A Lasting Legacy for a Loved One
Love of laughter and jokes, family, friends; an avid traveller who explored his curiosity in language, cuisine and religion; a respected lawyer and community leader: these are just of a few ways Neil Ornstein will be remembered.
In tribute to Neil’s memory, Donna, his wife of 46 years, identified other ways that his legacy could live on. Neil passed at the Weinberg Residence’s Multi-Level Care Unit (MLC) on January 15, 2019 after experiencing increasing disability for several years. In her regular visits with Neil, Donna recognized potential enhancements to MLC that could provide greater support for our residents, their families and their caregivers.
With this in mind, Donna approached the Foundation to make a donation in Neil’s name. From a smart television to watch the nature and travel programs he so enjoyed and weekly floral arrangements to a Sit to Stand Lift with Scale and Comfort Sling for residents of limited mobility, this generosity will support all those in MLC today and tomorrow, and all in Neil’s honour.
Husband, brother, uncle, trusted colleague and friend.
May his memory be a blessing.
